Thanks both! I will have a look at Maximilian as well. But checking out the two links as to where it can be found...both are now long dead. So any idea where to get it from? And anyone know if it is being updated to reflect V3, like HOTT has been? And @tony, totally understand. I did not mean to add any pressure, just was curious what the status was

I have been fiddling around with the idea of treating representing pike and shot units as WWG; double-wide base, which permits a better representation of the mass effect of P&S and combat factors of 3 against foot and 2/4 (shooting/close combat) against mounted seem to give them the staying power they require.
Cheers, Dave

Cheers, Dave I toyed with a similar idea of representing the tercio with eight figures based 40mm x 40mm; an arquebusier/musketeer positioned at each corner and four pikemen in two ranks in centre.

As a late comer to using DBA rules / DBx for Renaissance, or later Shot & Pike warfare, and only ever having played DBR (version2) once, I wondered if the armies used by DBA - RRR players have been home grown lists or those in the earlier versions of DBR?

Just spotted Tony A's answer to this in Dec 2018, namely "The last version is v. 1.21 and is available in the files section of the DBA Facebook page. It consist of three files (rules, army lists and playsheet)".
As a non Facebook user, is there another source for Tony's work on DBA-RRR ? (I wont bore you with why no longer use F/Bk.) CarlL

Unfortunately the SCRIBD source proved unreadable (well to my software / laptop) so if you know of any other sources for Tony Aguilars work from 2009, other than Facebook, I would be grateful to hear; in order to access his rules / QRS for DBA-RRR. CarlL

...I will buy more miniatures to show the conquest of Siberia by the Cossacks... ...at that time the Cossacks came as far as Alaska and along the west coast to California, fighting the Tlingit and other tribes on the way...

Cheers Vodnik. A very useful source for DBA-RRR. CarlL CarlL : looking at the DBA-RRR QRS via the link, beware that this is, or seems to be, based on an adaption of “DBA v2.2+”, and at the bottom edge is marked DBA-RRR+…(and includes the troop type ‘Raiders’, which in v3 became 3Bd). This v2.2+ was a ‘half way house’ variant conjured up during the v3 development stage by some American gamers/rules developers (possibly the WADBAG group). It showed how they wanted v2.2 to evolve, so is neither totally 2.2 nor v3 related. Main point to note is that is is annotated in MU’s, ie ‘movement units’. These were invented to allow some units to move distances half way between solid foot and fast foot speeds eg. Can’t remember how far a MU was, but it might be 20mm (… or maybe an inch?)? It’s a lovely looking QRS, but I’d say - ‘use with caution’.
