All views on board size written here fully understood, but didn't Phil increase the possible size range in 3.0 since the new troop types and their increased capabilities? Shouldn't that be another factor?

For non-tournament games just use any size that's both convenient and fun.
I have 6X4s in the basement and game club. We often play multiplayer games on them. Always in 25+mm.

I have a hangover problem.....Also I have a problem with my boards over hanging as the table supporting them is some what smaller than my 4'x4' gaming area.
I have over come this by placing pieces of batten on the table which run out to the edge of my gaming area, this has I have found given the whole thing a more solid feel.
