I haven't done an update in a while. I am now up to: DBA 2.2: 393 games DBA 2.2+: 586 games DBA 3.0: 367 games I still have a ways to go to make DBA 3.0 the most played version of DBA so far. That's some work, looking forward to the other 360 odd video reports. Hats off to all involved The video portion is out of my hands. I've been told there will be more, but not sure exactly how many. Our producer has traveled twice on a 2.5 hour journey to handle the filming and he has left about midnight both times.

That's dedication, my hat remains off. Must say we are lucky here in uk with three clubs in just my home town and several more in half an hours drive.
Just need to convince more of em to play historicals

Since you are keeping stats, roughly how many DBA elements would you say you have? I'd ask about armies, but I assume past a certain point you can create a ton of armies by recombining a lot of your less distinguishable elements.

All my armies are listed on the Wordpress site on my signature.

Holy smokes, Tony, how often did you guys play 2.2+? lol... I say that because I don't know of anyone playing v3 with the same frequency you guys are, and yet you still haven't caught up to your 2.2+ self yet!
Seriously, you guys set the gold standard for demo-ing and growing the game, through your video posts, and your discussions.
I think we should nominate you "Imperator of the Metallic Legions"!

I have been fortunate enough to play 4-6 games on average of DBA every week since Sept. 2010.
As fas as DBA 2.2+ goes, we used this from January 2012 to November 2014 at which point we swiched to DBA 3.0.
We went back and played 2.2+ at Historicon 2015 as that was what was being used there.

Playing has slowed down a bit in 2018 since we have been playing Napoleon in Europe and Gaslands as well.
Current update as of this week which includes the videos I posted over the weekend.
I am now up to:
DBA 2.2: 393 games
DBA 2.2+: 583 games
DBA 3.0: 483 games
Of course it is game night and DBA is back on the menu up until Historicon 2018.
Tonight's theme will be elephant armies (all armies will have to have at least one elephant.)

Tony - if possible ponder EL and playbalance and let me know what you think.
Apparently a 5 El army is causing some havoc in England.

TomT Nothing an Artillery piece can't fix. 5 Elephants has to be a 3x EL army with an ally that can take 2x more. Extremely impractical and a PIP hog of tremendous proportions. We will see if I can talk one of the guys to run it for hyucks.

Looks like a found a sucker named Luke Harbach to take them. I'm sure he is going to roll a crap-ton of "1"s for PIPs now.

It was a Tamil army and had 6 El. It finished first going away. 2nd place was another Tamil army (but with fewer El).
I take an Art in every tourney army due to my excessive fear of El. Feedback is that Art not that effective (but I haven't run in to many El myself).
Just trying to keep an eye out for trending power armies.

There is no core army that has more than 3, therefore the ally would have to be able to field all elephants. Only way to do that is to have an EL (Gen) and the most numerous element in army is ALSO EL (which sound unlikely) and then pick and third EL from the troop types remaining.

Very hard to count yer average elephant. Quick on their feet and notoriously good at camouflage.
