The Portugal project has kept me so busy that I decided to take a step back and have an ancient battle, even if it was a solo game.
To make the exercise an interesting one, I increased the number of elements for each command by half. This lengthened the game somewhat but the ensuing battle developed into quite a slugging match.

' Thanks Baldie, While painting the British Napoleonic figures I have the original soundtrack of the ‘Vikings’ TV series playing in the background. That just may animate me to do another large battle with Rome fighting the Carpi and their Sarmatian allies.
