Update:
The Kings and Generals Channel at YouTube have just posted their latest installment for the Napoleonic Series, Battles of Bailen and Tudela 1808. The graphics lend well to reproducing these two battles as scenarios for the Peninsular War, worth viewing. www.youtube.com/watch?v=5chi6G1GWgg
The Battle of Braga will be tested next week. Terrain and forces were laid out and looks good, but the Portuguese lack fortifications which will need constructing.
The Battle of Chaves was skipped as this is primarily a siege game, albeit a short one. There are no provisions for siege activity in the rules and this will be added to the project list. My first thought, this should be designed as a map game with counters representing engineering activity, but further thought, this might become an interresting club project that could embrace a wider period of siege warfare to include the 80 years war and the War of the Spanish Succession.

Really enjoying your updates on this project. I will look again into DBA HX3 as I am still using DBN for my Napoleonic engagements.
I did play around and come up with a Napoleonic version of Simon Miller's "For King and Parliament" ECW rules. Worked okay for me but then I am not a Napoleonic expert!

Glad you enjoyed them. Two battles remain to be played out, Braga and the French assault on Oporto; both of which must be played out on the larger table (160cm x 80cm). These should be played out in May during one of the many holidays taking place in that month.
