Thank you for your kind words. I am glad to join a such enthusiastic community. The very-well done videos of Tony Aguilar are a big part of my return in the hobby, 20 years after the buying of my non-painted army. ^^ I have still to assimilate all the nuances of the v.3 rules but I am sure I will find all the answers on this site ! There used to be a very good guide to DBA2.2, is there one forDBA3.0 for the newcomers?

There used to be a very good guide to DBA2.2, is there one forDBA3.0 for the newcomers? David Constable Sue's book is quite a good introduction with terrain making and army building/painting tips. It contains a complete example game...and the rules. It is available in electronic format as well. Joe Collins

I second Joe on the endorsement of Sue's book. An excellent resource, and includes some great army lists, although not all of them.

As a long time lurker on the old Fanaticus forum, thank you for the warm welcome. Most DBA players will happily destroy your army, to the last man (or women) if they could. But afterwards will laugh and joke with you, and often tell you what you might have done and why.

I must say that seeing another 160 or so members added to the forum since I joined is gratifying.
Good to see so much interest in DBA.

I gave up DBA3.0 because I am an infantryman, I could play DBA2.2 easily because the move proportions were similar to WRG 1st to 5th editions (old), not so DBA3.0. For younger players who have not got distances fixed in the head the change is easier. The cost is relatively small, and numbers easy to paint.
To all, ENJOY, be nice to your opponents, follow the old etiquette rules for DBA2.2.
