I would have done even better if Mark had not paid off my dice, three 1's in a row at end of the game. I wouldn't have needed to pay off your dice if you hadn't kept throwing 6's before then! Bribing one's opponent's dice sounds more like a Byzantine tactic than a Frankish one.

Of course the big question now is whether Colin's second place will be enough to oust Richard as SOA League leader?!! Having just seen the amended league table the answer is, apparently not! Shout out to Martin Smith though, =3rd with 57 points but no tournaments wins, Mr Consistency or what?! So with 3 tournaments left to play it's looking like anyone from the top 6 is in with a shout! Who is going to be travelling to the wilds of Derbyshire in October in search of desperately needed League points?

I work on Stalin’s principle that ‘quantity has a quality all of its own’. Lots of ‘almost rans’, by going to as many tournaments as I can get to.... But unfortunately not Bakewell in October, I think, due other commitments.

Hi there,
This is Christine Rigby. I had the pleasure of being the sturdy foundation of the leaderboard at this competition. I had a great time and would liek to attend more events in future.

About time you got back on the circuit, Christine. There are usually two events a year in Bakewell as well as Britcon in Manchester. (I'm assuming that PAWS and Alton are a bit too far for you, but might you be able to get to Newark for the Northern Cup or maybe Tarrington?)

I'm looking at Bakewell this month. Newark is definitely on my radar. I think that PAWS would have to be a many days thing so it would have to fall during school holidays.
