Ok. It's a little late and not quite all "pledged" armies done but I've completed the following: - New Kingdom Egyptian (Museum Miniatures) - Gallic (Old Glory 15s) - Ancient British (Old Glory 15s) - Viking (Splintered Light) - Middle Anglo-Saxon (Splintered Light) - Anglo-Danish (Splintered Light) Unfortunately, this forum has reached its file limit so I cannot upload the photos. Cheers Jim Jim, Have you thought about using the Fanaticus DBA Wiki? fanaticus-dba.wikia.com/wiki/Fanaticus_DBA_Wikia
I'd be happy to do that. I miss the Eye Candy section of the previous site. Jim

How does one upload images to the Wiki? I have only used the wiki to upload the DBA-HX3 Horse and Musket variant so no photos. Looking at the lower right corner (DBA Wiki home page) you will read Armies of the Fanaticii. From there you should be able to add photos by either adding a page. This might have to be done through the Edit button. Stevie has a lot more experience with adding material, perhaps he can add some tips.

and add the Armies Camp & BUA things (as now it's easier to 3dprint it, you still have to paint it! )

Like Jim, I miss the old Fanaticus Eye Candy pages. I always knew I could find inspiration there when I did not have time to game or hit an impediment at the painting table!
If it is easy to re-create that work with new armies and new images in the Wiki, then that would be great. I always got the impression one had to maintain an independent web site elsewhere and place a link to it on the Wiki. If it is easy to maintain that page via the Wiki and add the link, then that might make folks more willing to feature their armies and free up space on the forum.

I made a test on the Fanaticus Wiki just to see how long it would take. First you must register an account (to edit and create). Also, the images are uploaded to the "article" using drag and drop, which requires having 2 windows open.
There is a little work required to create a new "article", then add text, images, galleries, and web links to other pages. Then you cut and paste the URL for that "article" and edit the "Armies of the Fanaticii" list to add the URL and include a text description of the "article".
If anyone wishes to add images of their Eye Candy but not go through the effort, I would be willing to create the page or Gallery for you and add it to the Fanaticus Wiki on Fandom.

I've been convinced by this thread to join the self-imposed peer-pressure method and set for myself the deadline of opening a thread showcasing an army for each month of 2019. Given that the initial armies that I'll be painting are fairly unusual (Pacific Islands and North America) I think it might be an interesting addition to the forum, too! So now I only have to have the Melanesians ready before the 1st of February

Well done Vic. So that is a pledge of 12 from you. If you do 12 it’ll spur me to matching you!
