During my weekend in Brisbane I took a break from "Frontiers" so that I didn't have to carry such a bulky book on the plane.
I filled my case with smaller backup books and over that time read
"1066 Turned Upside Down" - Helen Hollick and others - a set of short stories of alternate history for the Norman Conquest "Soldiers of Fortune" - An Osprey Elite book about Mercenaries from 1960 to 2020
I am almost through "The Secret War for the Falklands" by Nigel West and once it is done I'll go back to "Frontiers"

I've finished both "The Secret War for the Falklands" and "Frontiers" and in that interval I also read "52 Times that Britain was a Bellend" (one that my mother and brother are now reading and chuckling over).
Now I've started the UNESCO "General History of Africa" (Vol III - 7th to 11th Centuries)
Cheers

Re-reading the Empire series by Anthony Riches. Book one is finished and am half way through book two.
Very tempted to add the Ancient British to the collection.

Does anyone have any book they can recommend for the Battle of the Metaurus [207BC]?

Finished book II of the Empire series and have started Fortress of Spears.
Collecting the Ancient British, I just may order two packs of Blue Moon Gauls. Each pack would generate 9 x 3Wb and 1 x Ps. I have light horse (2 x LH) for both commands.
