I have slowly started moving Army Essays over from the old website to the new Fanaticus Wiki. Where possible I have tried to contact the original authors to ensure they do not have issues with me doing this. For the most part, they will be moved exactly as they look from the old site. If I find something new to add, I will make a note of it in a different font. In some cases, I have searched the old Fanaticus forum for new information and made note of it. For some, I have added a new picture or two but have noted these as well. The first three essays have been added to the DBA Army Notes section created by Dan Higdon on the Wiki. Dan if this is not what you invisioned for that section on the Wiki feel free to delete and I can start again in a different section. The essays can be found here: fanaticus-dba.wikia.com/wiki/DBA_Army_NotesHope this is helpful.

Eleven army essays have so far been added to the site. I'll add more when I have a chance.

Thanks for bringing these over. I always enjoyed having reference to these, even the dated ones!

Added four more essays this morning. I will try and add a few more before September 1st but alas I suspect I will run out of time.

I don't actually play DBA but always found the information in the Army Notes a great jumping off point when looking for a new period. However, anyone can add to the wiki.

I've created a "sample" page for a 3.0 army : fanaticus-dba.wikia.com/wiki/3/II/33_Polybian_Roman_275-105BCWith just the headlines for now, once that one is completed and fine with everybody, will it be possible to add a DBA 3.0 Army Notes paragraph on the DBA Army Notes page ? The goal is to add new material, of course, and not only material from the "old" fanaticus site...

It will be interesting to see this grow as there is much new research material available.

as I'm not a wikia expert, I have to ask : is there a way to block at least anonymous updates ? Seems risky to me to let anyone make updates, and potentially be able to wipe out all the work done. Is there at least an history from which you can restore pages ?
Anyway, I have created a second dba 3.0 army page, will keep on going, comments and updates welcome (and I'll add links from the DBA army notes page).

I'm so glad these are coming over. Can I get one added that no one edge has done?
