Might be something to do with impetuous knights over-extending themselves, blowing their horses and then being picked off by swarms of LH. See unit descriptions on P3.

Hi Martin, I am afraid that as I was playing and organising, I didn't get any pics other than those on Alternative Armies blog. Cheers Simon

Thanks to everyone for turning up at Bakewell for another very good-natured and energetic tournament.
Congratulations to Stephen Finn for coming first and winning his games in all six rounds and so taking away the figure packs kindly donated by Alternative Armies.
2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th places all scored equal points on the initial scoring system and these ties (and some others further down the table) were resolved by resorting to sum of opponents' scores.
Rankings were as follows:
1 Stephen Finn Cilician Armenian IV/2 2 Mark Skelton Mapuche IV/84a 3 Pete Duckworth Samurai IV/59a 4 Richard Pulley South Welsh III/19c 5 Ken Gordon Guti Revolt I/46 6 Phil Johnson Lydian I/50 7 Tom Whitehead Thracian I/48 8 Colin O’Shea Cilician Armenian IV/2 9 Andy Wheeldon Celtiberian II/39 10 Simon Wilson Dacian II/52 11 Keith Murphy Samurai IV/59a 12 Mark Johnson Dacian II/52 13 Paul Murgatroyd Illyrian I/47 14 Robert Rush Guti Revolt.1/46 15 Baldie Paionian I/63 16 Neil Mason Guti Revolt 1/46 17 John Saunders Early Japanese Yahoi 1/64a 18 Stevie Andrews Dacians II/52
Dacians
I look forward to seeing as many as possible back in Bakewell for the Midland Open on 10 June.
Cheers

We should get a tour bus together and live life on the road travelling the globe attending events. The WWE of the gaming world. Sponsorship deals the lot. ... and a TV comedy series. Perhaps called the Elementorists. Lines such as "They are not toy soldiers - they are historical miniatures" and "We are not playing, we are engaged in a historical simulation." Perhaps an amusing scene involving the meaning of "within?" There would obviously need to be a viewing warning before the start. Cheers Simon

Unfortunately, the planned DBA competition for 6 May in Frome is now off. Hopefully Shieldwall in the local area in March will in some way make up for it. Allnewstevie Main list updated. Fingers crossed for 2024.
