That is of course an option, however, it would perhaps be more in keeping with Byzantine sensibilities to go with blinding. Not that I would advocate for any of these things.

One wonders how long, on a wargames website, could a thread on artisanal egg products possibly be/ get to?

Certainly by no means an expert but I am a great peruser of army lists.
The Triumph rules have a list Nile Princes 1080-725 BC, looks like a mix of Egyptians and the usual bits and pieces along with some Meshwesh that overlaps the Libyan Egyptian 946-712 BC list.
The Field of Glory II PC game has the list Egyptian 1068-946 BC, which again looks like the usual mix of troops along with Sherden and Libyan swordsmen. It also includes this little nugget of text with it:
The pharaohs of the twenty-first dynasty ruled from Tanis, but only controlled Lower (northern) Egypt. The High Priests of Amun at Thebes ruled Middle and Upper Egypt in all but name.

Our Sun?
HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Better keep on shuffling because once you stop it can be surprisingly hard to get going again.

There's absolutely no doubt in my mind more figures on a base have more appeal, here is someone doing something similar with a similar game system. miniatureaddiction.info/triumph/For me it's that I don't really want to rebase and the foot print requirements of bigger bases, mat/board, terrain and storage are not insignificant. If I were to do something like this I'd be going down in figure scale, perhaps on 15mm basing to keep that foot print small.

Well it seems you've reached critical mass and I could use an excuse to watch Ran again, when is the battle report?

Having flicked through the Killer Katanas II (I think) rule book at one time I did get the impression that battle formations could be quite exotic and may be difficult to reflect in any sort of rules.

...painting is another problem. Finding the right rules is even harder. I am certain; Phil Barker never attempted battle with late samurai armies. You need house rules or; Irregular Wars, but there you have to adjust the bases... Peter Pigs "Battles in the Age of War" or the old DBR rules/list no good?

I am seeing Alex on Saturday for a game of DBSYW and will let him know. Please tell him he's overdue for another DBN battle posting on YouTube wile you're there. Obviously such a battle should feature Ney, the crutch that kept Napoleons empire upright.
