The local shop delivered my order of grass tufts. The Ancient British are much improved. Today, the Imperial Roman. Early Imperial Romans have their grass tufts. All 36 elements (two commands) are ready for battle. Managed to base up another batch of EIR, they got a game of Lart. Our clubs best Lart player took me on with his sub Roman British and I got him within 4 point of breaking but he finished of my auxillia for yet another loss at Lart. I dont mind getting drubbed in a 10 min game of DBA but losing after a couple of hours of a game really gets me going.

So, you could make the Cold Ash Clash and/or Colours in November without too much travel... P. It would be a 5 hour round trip. Must admit 2.5 - 3 hours one way would consider hotel but Def adds to cost of a game of toy soldiers

Time Commanders was great. I will send in the Heavy Infantry through the swamp and the javelin skirmishers will hit the Roman legion head on.

Just choose Taureg and carpet bomb the terrain with Dunes and an Oasis. Happiness is Dunes with a Camel! I had to see that just before going to bed didn't I, another night of nightmares of being chased around a sand pit by laughing dromedarys.

One trick I saw was to peel the whole plastic side off first then replace it. It loses some of its stickiness and after cutting the shields out it peels off each one much easier.
Out of 50 odd I may have lost one.

Yes one advantage of my Brits being drubbed so many times is when offered Gaul or Rome, the decision was easy.
