We are playing DBA using 15mm figures on the 25mm basing scheme. You go a bit lighter on the heavy foot (front rank only 5, rear rank 3) so overall, we double the number of foot, and add 1 horseman. It looks pretty good, and we find the extra size eliminates some of the fiddliness of the WRG 15mm basing scheme. Try it with an army or two. You might like it!

Just clarify, you push back the rear Ps only if it is lined up with the recoiling element as I understand it.

Note, if the Ps behind the recoiling Ps is lined up with it, the front Ps pushes it back. There is only destruction if the rear Ps is blocked, no?

I recently had a very successful road-build by using caulking, spread relatively thin, and painted brown, with sand/buff dry brudh highlights. They drape nicely over hills, and across terrain templates.
I tried a repeat for a waterway and a river, and they worked brilliantly. Right until I added glossy acrylic "water" effect on top to create a water surface. It curled up at the edges something fierce.
That suggests to me that either if using that method, I must make the wwy/river much larger than needed, and then cut off the excess, which hopefully is the entire curly bit, or I must paint the caulking, spray a glossy finish over the paint, and sparingly add "ripples" here and ther afterward.
Anyone else have any ideas on this, or have given this a go?
