Great armies ! If you are able to send armies to French Polynesia, I’ll keep an eye on your offers 😉 Blimey I thought I was posh in Barnsley Some French Marines assignments are indeed quite nice 😁

Hello gents, After a long time with no new DBA project (these past 2 years), I’m in the mood for some Roman civil war project.
At first I intended to paint 2 Marian II/49 armies (Caesar vs Pompey or Octavian vs Marc Anthony). I looked towards Forged in battle minis and Baueda. But I saw the PSC Late Roman army starter box (Mortem and gloriam), and it contains enough for assembling both II/78a and b armies (for a very reasonable price).
So I may go for late imperial Rome, and it will change from my mainly « Punic war era » armies 😁

Well, for Orcs, a heavy warband/horde army would do. High elves could be medieval French or english armies. Byzantins would do too. For humans, I’d say it depends on what fantasy range you use and what fantasy world your army is set in (Middle earth, Westeros, the old world, ...).
Undead can be anything (my brother has classical and medieval armies using various 15mm squeletons 😁)

While surfing on the web, I came across the demonworld minis; they are really great and I love their old school style. I think I’m going to order Wood elves for a III/1.a Northern Slav army and dwarves to make a III/40.c Leidang army.
DBA 3.0 lists with fantasy 15mm minis: Am I a heretic ?

Still hesitating between Museum Miniatures and Khurasan: their HYW range is pretty awesome.
Does someone have some feedback on those two manufacturers (average size or tend to b big compared to others)? Most of my 15mm are Essex and my Teutonics are mirliton.

... I am no longer used to dba basing. Is infantry now: 2x4cm?.. Correct. The majority of infantry bases for 15mm figures is 40mm x 20mm with the artillery being twice that. Heresy: Solid Inf is 15mm deep ! 😁

I currently own 6 ancient armies (mainly 2nd Punic war era), I’ll receive my 7th ancient army, museum miniatures Spartans, next week. I also have a Teutonic army (my only medieval army) and I am jumping a bit more into section 4 with the IV/74 Free company !
I chose museum minis again as I really like their mounted and dismounted knights 👍 (DBA virus is back)
