In the old Fanatics there is discussion about LH support of LCh and vice versa. I am putting my reply here
As noted, the rear support relationship is by "Type" and not class. So all Wb support each other and all Pike support each other, unless noted in the army list.
In the troop description we have this "LIGHT HORSE, including all light horsemen (LH) or camel riders (LCm) who skirmished in dispersed swarms with javelin, bow or crossbow and would not charge unshaken enemy; such as Numidians, Huns, Parthian horse archers, Late Roman “Illyrians” or Equites Sagittarii, genitors or border staves."
Thus the use of the term Light Horse in the rules includes both the horse variety and the camel variety. Otherwise there is no movement allowed for LCm nor combat factor as Light Camels are not listed. Nor do LCm have any outcomes listed. All references to Light Horse or LH include Light Camels.

Posting the question may help readers; from Martin Smith, "Can LH support LCm, and vice versa? Or is the rear support specifically for LH to LH? "

This was the original post (which has produced a variety of replies) -

How far does LCm move? What is combat factor for LCm What are outcomes for LCm?
LCm does not exist except as LH.
I see no reason, in game terms, to not allow both versions of Light Horse to support each other.

Not disagreeing with your conclusion as such Bob, but do they not treat dunes and oasis differently? Scott

Not disagreeing with your conclusion as such Bob, but do they not treat dunes and oasis differently? Scott An interesting point. There are some differences. Bob's point still stands though. In good going, the camels do support the horse and vice versa. This seems Phil's intention. Joe Collins

When one element supports another both must be in good going. This presents interesting options for LH supporting LCm and vice versa. Dunes and oasis are good for LCm but not horse. So we get the following possibilities.
Light horse in oasis or dunes no support or supporting for or by camels. Camels in desert features, but LH behind in Good going yes.
