Nice!
I got a couple of resin pieces in a lot off ebay that are either haystacks or wattle huts.
I presume huts.
Will be linking to this piece though for reference when it comes time to do a village.

Nice work Robert. Cheers, Thanks Greg,
I have placed Spanish style houses of a later period on my 'to do' list. But now, its back to painting again.

I could live there. At least as a summer home. ;-)

You are welcome to do so.
However, I must say summer is the tourist season and you would have the inconvenience of vandals and gothic types mis-behaving throughout the week.

Great village. Set me thinking of building a home for my Ancient Britons!
I think I spent no more than an hour a day constructing these six buildings over a period of a week.
Day 1 – cutting and shaping. Day 2 – covering the walls with Milliput, scoring doorway and posts. Day 3 – cutting bases for each hut, and then basing each hut. Day 4 – covering the each roof with Milliput. Day 5 – wattle fences made and based, later all were given an undercoat of white paint. Day 6 – painted buildings and wattle fences – later covered the base with white glue/sand mix. Day 7 – painted the ground and dry brushed the walls, roof and fences. Added grass. Done.
The relaxed tempo ensured the Milliput would harden well between stages. Undercoating the buildings white meant I could apply thin coats of paint. I painted the walls an earth colour, then dry brushed the next day with white (light brush strokes). Mixing earth with Desert sand worked well for the thatch roof.
