The latest edition of the Society of Ancients Journal "Slingshot" had a short summary of the placings of the Society Championship For 2016. A popular rule set used in the Championship is DBA. What is the Championship? It's an informal virtual event for participating members. I find it to be an ideal way to participate in Society activities despite being unable to attend other organised events. All you need to do is play against another Society member and submit your game results via the website. There is no need to be at a special convention. Anyway, what the article didn't mention was that DBA was yet again the most popular rule set for those submitting results. A great outcome for the DBA community. If you are a member of the Society I encourage you to consider entering your friendly games held local between other Society members. If you aren't a member I would highly recommend you consider membership, which includes access to a great magazine. More detail on the Championship can be found here: soa.org.uk/joomla/championship
