A very good first outing. Thanks for showing. Suggestions, please show the actual terrain placement. I had no idea what was what, other than the plough. Did you have only one terrain piece ending up on board, besides plough? By the way, if elements take multiple moves, the last one cannot end up within a Base Width of enemy, so no LH attack on First bound. You never showed the combat against the camp. Did the LH win on first attempt? People like to see the actual combat rolls. Did you remember that Wb do not get second rank in Bad Going? Moreover, I think the column with the General is in the TZ of the spears, so could not attack the Psiloi.
2nd game. Title is fine as plain text. Light Horse is in TZ of the Psiloi so cannot move forward toward the camp, must attack the Psiloi or back up. Camp fights! Why are Romans in two ranks, when only the front rank fights. Roman should consider putting Ax with heavy troops to help fight Wb. Do consider showing the actual combats, with the dice rolls. I for one like to see the matchups, factors and outcomes.
Looking forward to next report
Off topic, what does Commander Kane command in your VBCW collection?

Very interesting couple of battle reports.
Bob has picked up some of the things you may not have got exactly correct.
Re your question about the Plough, being Arable, yes if you pick Plough as your compulsory terrain you have to have 2 pieces, but of course you could have a Built up Area instead if you wanted.
As Bob implied, maybe it would be a good idea to have another read of the Threat Zone rule, which is quite important. E.g putting the Romans in two ranks not only means the rear rank doesn't fight or contribute any support, but once the Warband get within 40mm of the rear rank they are limited in terms of their movement, so for example they couldn't come out from behind and form a flank support!
However all the best with encouraging the spread of DBA amongst your group. The popularity of the rules seems to be increasing and with people like Simon in Bakewell running competitions around the north and midlands there will be opportunities to play others should you wish to.
Cheers

Hi All First stab at doing a you tube battle report Please point out any errors we make as we are just starting into DBA youtu.be/YcPKbxEJIRwWelcome to the Fanaticus Forum.
I found the video quite good - brief and to the point. Do keep them coming.
No comment about tactics other than keep up the practice. You will later discover that blade can give a good account of themselves even in wood filled with warband.
Blade are reduced by - 2 for wood (bad going) but meet one rank (not two) of Wb, therefore factors are equal. I find an element of auxilia supporting the blade useful.
Nearly forgot, but do keep the general close by to avoid extra pip costs.

Off topic, what does Commander Kane command in your VBCW collection? Hi There My lads are Stalinist communists, Cain was sent over by Stalin as he doesn't like the idea of Mosley led government getting pally with Germany As coal from Yorkshire goes out to sea via Grimsby supplies come back in through friendly contacts in the rail yards So far we are on something like game 47 and utter chaos all the time

Early Imperial Romans Ancient Britons Hundred Years War English Samurai Swiss
All made it onto the table
Unfortunately left my phone at home so all that remains are the memories

“Like the Raptors in Jurassic Park” – lean and hungry? I like the gravestone markers – nice touch. Correct, blades do not pursue mounted.
I enjoyed the video very much; pointing out your errors later in the presentation served well to underscore the excitement experienced during the game. And this can be forgiven.
Britons vs. Early Imperial Romans. The British LH column would turn to face the Roman auxilia. Since there is not enough room for the LH, the auxilia would have to move back into the BUA to accommodate the LH (page 9, paragraph 1, line 5) conforming.
Keep the battle reports coming.

Greetings all For those not already disgusted by my poor pics, terrible generalship and slim grasp of the rules I am sticking up a few more Battle Reports on You Tube Baldies Battles in Miniature I enjoyed the battle reports. The game board changed for the ninth and tenth games. Spear vs. cavalry, you might want to review the Battle of Tours 732 AD (Franks vs. Muslim) for a few ideas. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rb8pGJy2aXs
