Another great battle report and photos. I like the exploit of the killer Gallic war chief.

By the way I encourage anyone who like the report to post a comment on the blog. The Gallic player isn't often able to play so his efforts of playing and posting the report are to be encouraged, in my opinion.

Strategic discussion aside, here are a few photos of a DBA Open match between my II/5d Thebans and some II/33 Polybian Romans. The Romans dither, while the Thebans eschew tactical subtlety and storm across the battlefield. Replete with reserves, the Roman centre braces for impact... ...and is smashed apart as the Theban general scores combat factors of 13,12 and 13 (including dice roll). Funny how I forgot to take photos of the other matches... Nice looking armies and terrain Gus. The Theban phalanx certainly was effective. Cheers,

Greg, I see you are having problems quoting text like I did originally I agree that the Gauls did well. Ben played them well against me and I was scratching my head on how I could counter the massed warband. My son Joel uses a Warband general as well. It's a useful addition and can really make a mess of a solid line.

So spill the beans . How do I correctly use the Quote function? Cheers, Carefully. Make sure you click in the correct part of the email. Mine were seriously stuffed up when I tried to edit part of the quote so only a portion was displayed. Perhaps check in the text editor (BBCode) tab rather than the preview.
