Hope to see you there 👍
One word of warning....if you drive, sometimes the Eastern coast road to the venue gets clogged up, especially if Portsmouth FC are playing (/disappointing their fans) at home.
If you're Winchester way, maybe we could play sometime.

Oil, I played my first tournament in DBA 3.0 at the PAWS event last September. All the guys were helpful and supportive, and made it a great day...so coming back again next week. Peter

Yep, it's always fun... Played Colin the Hittite today for a few 'practice games', and managed to run out West Franks, East Franks, Thematics, EMNAS, Andalucians, Feudal Spanish, Lombards, Fatimids, Tulunids and Norse Vikings. All the games were fun, with opportunities for both sides, and opportunities for the cuboid-of-doom to ruin the best laid plans of mice, men and DBA generals. One of the most nailbiting clashes of the day was when Frankish knights launched themselves upon a shield-wall of Viking blades. Fingers crossed for the cuboid in that one!! Won't say who won, but just that it's a tight one..... See you there next weekend, Peter. Hoping Stevie and Dunc can make it, too. Cheers Martin (Erik Trampledbyrnie)

What time does it start? Not sure if I can make it, but will if I can... Usual start time for the PAWS Quarterly tournaments, 1 pm.

Martin (Peoples Republic of Alton, in the Land of Jane Austen) Definitely love to get some games in outside tournaments, the uni has a wargaming society but they only play gw games which i moved away from years and years ago now. I'll be coming by train, never learnt to drive as from London originally and now a uni student so can't afford it with seeing my kids every weekend (3/4 anyway)

Just for information. Portsmouth are playing at home this coming weekend. A 1500 KO v Oldham, so may be something to include in planning for those driving down. Peter

Yes, especially if coming by car, parking may be at a premium by 1300 as the Pompey supporters als0 park on the street in the area of the centre.

Excellent - Looks like a better-than-average turnout. Very much looking forward to throwing a few dice (....in the bin 🤗) and getting some games in.

Indeed - looking forward to the event. Always interesting to see the distribution of armies selected from the qualifying list. Aiming for 1200 or there about too. Peter

Twill be just graaaaand to see you, McDunc. Been ages, indeed. Hopefully we'll clash across the fickle-square-of-doom tomorrow (and like yer army choice, BTW....won't let on !!). Mine speak a Latin-based language with a northern tweeeest....work that one out (and their mates like their pasta arrabiata stylee). + Martin

I have a wee bit of a problem (other than still painting my army) I left my camp at my nans when I moved and my replacement has not arrived in time, could I borrow a spare if possible please tomorrow? Going to try to get there a bit early as well just so I am not rushing around.
