Hi, search under Google images "Medieval Dai Viet army/uniform" and you will find better information regarding the uniform type, and in particular the square hat and the cavalry helmets. First of all, welcome to Fanaticus. Please chime in often. Thank you for that well-directed Google search. Please consider forwarding that on to Khurasan at khurasanminiatures@yahoo.com. Maybe he will reconsider. Better that it come from a different person, right? So perhaps the hat-conversions I suggested yesterday can be ignored.

If you talk Khurasan into doing Medieval Vietnamese you'll make Vic very happy

Search under Google images "Medieval Dai Viet army/uniform" and you will find better information regarding the uniform type, and in particular the square hat and the cavalry helmets. Mr. Wise and I traded a couple emails off-list. He had collected quite a number of images on the topic. I politely cajoled him into sending some of them to Khurasan, in hopes of persuading "Mr. Khurasan" to consider making a range of Medieval Vietnamese. No luck. Here was the reply: "...the major reasons I haven’t made medieval Vietnamese are a) not many good period sources and b) the few I have seen (many of which are not actually period sources) show they seemed to have looked just like Song Chinese ... which I already make! 😄 " Zat so? Can one plausibly build a III/60 Medieval Vietnamese army (minus the Jumbo) from selected figures from Khurasan's Sung Chinese range? Seems to me that the problem is still the absence of suitable figures for the Militia (4xAx and 3xPs).
