You probably have all noticed I have now taken on a role as moderator for our new forum.
I do not expect I will have to do very much as I know from the original Fanaticus site most people involved in DBA are helpful, encouraging and tolerant.
Also everyone appears to have the same warped sense of humour I have! That comes from serving as an Officer in the Royal Air Force and then as a Police Officer. I don't know what everyone else's excuse is!
Seriously though, if I can be of help please let me know.
I really hope with this forum we can keep the spirit of Fanaticus alive. I owe Fanaticus alot, as it was the discovery of that site that got me back to wargaming after many years.

You have to have a sense of humour if after you have taken off your airfield sails away! And then if your lucky enough to find it again it's bobbing up and down!

...there is a quite good fish & chips shop in Potter Higham near the bridge That is worth exploring! I remember my Father took a boat under that bridge and forgot to lower the mast. Provided endless entertainment for the locals!

If you want beans and toast follow your nose Local Brewery in Norfolk will provide an excellent beer called Roundhead Porter. Not sure on the pale ale but Woodforde's Nelsons Revenge is a great bitter. But beware Nelson takes his revenge about 3am if you have over indulged

I remember picking up a piece of old fishing net round the screw and drifting aground at Shotley Point. A bit embarrassing for an ex-RN navigator! Needed a recovery session at the Butt and Oyster. I was told the second most dangerous thing in the Royal Air Force was a Navigator with a chart. The most dangerous thing was a Navigator with a chart who says he knows where he is!
