Having a completely new set of Army Lists that entirely replaces the existing set, and containing fresh historical descriptions/elements allowed/terrain/aggression/enemies/allies/etc, although useful to players, would be far too daunting and would also infringe on copyright issues.
Perhaps just a simple list of corrections to the existing Army Lists to fix the mutual enemies and dates would suffice.
A sort of ‘FAQ for the Army Lists’ if you will.

To that end I think I’ll take a pause for the moment from posting any new inconsistencies (which by the way I very roughly estimate is approximately about half way though, give or take), and allow the already discovered errors to be processed.

May I suggest we adopt the following arrangement in order to facilitate this process, as the existing thread is becoming rather unwieldy as I, let alone others, am having a hard time seeing what has already been discovered and what has now become potentially fixed.

I propose that we split everything into the following three groups (without clarifications for the sake of brevity):-
        • Group #1: errors that have been discovered, have been discussed, and a potential fix found.
        • Group #2: errors that have been discovered, and still under discussion, but more information required.
        • Group #3: errors that have been discovered, but have not yet been discussed.
As things progress, each item can be moved from one group to another until it reaches its final resting place in Group #1. And montyburns could then either edit his first post to show these for all to see, or, if space is lacking, perhaps start a new thread called “Army List Corrections” which would act as a sort of index of the current situation and be edited and updated as we forge ahead.

I have taken your list and I am attempting to respond to each in the order of its placement as an individual post.

This does take time to research and luckily there are excellent e-books to be found on the internet.

Grouping them by what action is required is a good idea.

II/81c British Armies (471 AD – 580 AD) add II/81b Vortigern’s Army (429 AD – 441 AD)

(Army II/81b lists II/81c as an enemy, but II/81c does not mention II/81b.
Now I know that the dates don’t match each other, but let’s be honest, all the dates for Britannia in this period are just mere guesses anyway....so who can say what is correct?)

The listing of II/81c is likely incorrect as 1) the dates covering the British Army 471 – 580 AD do not correspond to the Vortigern sub-list and 2) after the episode with the Saxons Vortigern retreats west to Wales. It seems unlikely that he would have crossed the channel to do battle against Armorican army.

Action:
Would suggest omitting II/81c as an enemy of II/81b.
