Hello all. Once again my search bar has failed me. Are there any rules out there for the AWI era? I am interested in rebasing my skirmish forces into a DBA type basing system. This will be done after I rebase my 80+ ancient armies for DBA of course, or maybe somewhere in the middle Also while I have the stage... Is there a minimum number of posts one must make before allowed to attach a picture? I have a lot of the unreleased Donnington New Age Muslims/Arabs I need help identifying. Thanks again to this great community!

I would recommend giving the DBA-HX3 a try; they are 6 pages of rules and 115 army lists which cover the period 1700 – 1850. You can download them at the DBA Fanaticus Wiki (see Home Page).
Please do post photos as I would be interested in the Muslim/Arab figures.

Outstanding Timurilank! From what it looks like that set was a creation of yours? I like the look of it, I'm having a hard time concentrating on work after downloading that! The issue I have with the attachments is a max of 1mb per pic... Mine average about 4mb. My own blog is not up just yet so I don't want to just link an empty blog with some unpainted minis. Thabks again for the reply and the free rules! I look forward to trying them out!

The idea was mine, but its completion was made with the fine collaboration of play testers from around the globe: Paul Hannah & Eric Donaldson (USA), Cesar Paz, Dave Moore, John Harvey, Paul Potter (USA), Michael Spencelayh (UK), Noel Zaal & Rodney Foley (SA), Graeme Carrol (UK) and Jan Senten (NL).

Paul Potter did some, which are on the old Fanaticus under 'Period Variants', also to be found on the new website that took most of the documents but not the forum: fanaticus.website/A direct link is: fanaticus.website/periodadaptations/AWIDBA.pdfI bought the DBN extension for the AWI, but you really need the main DBN rules (which have to be paid for, but which I do have and use) to use it. At the moment, I have nearly all my good guys painted (including Hessians), but have not yet started the rebel army.

I have not seen the AWI extension but i have used the ACW one and that also is very good.

Thank you Cromwell. I will eventually check that out... Likely soon. I'm particularly fond of my 15mm AWI skirmish forces so I may be doing horse and musket battles in 6mm. Would those rules be suitable? Here is a link to the arab/muslim line metioned previously. The blog itself is not up, any help in identification would be welcomed. Specifically the two heavily armored infantry. epicfoxbg.com/2017/01/23/donnington-new-age-arabmuslim/

I recommend DBA-HX3 too but, in order to find rules at your own taste, try to find the two sets from Dale Hurtt (dhutt in this forum I guess): DB-AWI v.2 and Heroes of the Revolution (this based on HOTT). If you don't find them, I can send you a copy from my HD.
