Inspired by Thompson’s book, the Huns, we played out this lesser known battle between the army of Attila and the eastern Roman army. Using two commands per side the width of the board was slightly enlarged to give a battlefield of 120 x 80 cm. No changes were made to either army lists. dbagora.blogspot.nl/2017/01/battle-of-utus-447-ad.html

...an other great Report but i am in the last week absorbet by Art de la Guerre with my Leidang... I am not acquainted with that rule set.
Using DBA 3.0 as a core set for ancients, fantasy (D3H3) and gunpowder (DBA-HX3) leaves me no time to experiment.

...you know i was in DBMtime a DBM fan. I did play in European tournaments. To comming of DBMM did finish that time. But if you play Art de la Guere you have other tactical ideas... you can find also new tactics for DBA for any version...

Out of interest, how did the re-fight compare to the actual battle?

Out of interest, how did the re-fight compare to the actual battle? Thompson describes this as Attila's last victory. Nonetheless, Hun losses were so severe that it may have prompted Attila to move west.

Thanks Cromwell, I have more planned for this period of Roman history and now that my early Byzantines have arrived I can add more to the list.
