Nice one! gregorius when you say "goop" what are you applying? (Silly question but various possibilities come to mind and none of them rude!)
I am obviously a purveyor of basing 'goop' ... I think....

Liquitex Natural Sand is on Amazon. I got my jar at a local art supply place. It's good stuff. Great basing goop.

I use stylex Steineffektpaste (Woolworth). Cheap but gives a nice battlefield texture. And sticks like hell.

I use model sand and PVA over a coat of tile grout(when dry),which is also mixed with PVA...this gives a very robust base texture and is cheap to produce....it is also easy to remove.😉

So, over the weekend I returned to my Three Kingdoms Chinese and painted the figures for the 2xLH. They have been glued to bases and goop applied, which dried overnight. Today I'll paint the bases and apply flocking. Next up are the figures for the 3Cv element. Cheers, Today I finished painting the figures for the 3Cv element. I've also glued them to a base and applied goop. The goop should dry overnight and tomorrow I can paint the textured base and apply flocking. Cheers,

Once that is done I'll need to glue the figures to their base and apply goop, allowing that to dry overnight. Tomorrow the base will be painted and flocking applied. Cheers,
