In Armies of the Ottoman Turks, 1300-1774 by David Nicolle & Angus McBride, there is a black and white picture of the new 'Tufekci' infantry. It took me a while to find a coloured version: Ottoman Tüfekçi musketeers of Ken'an Paşa in a Pāshānameh, c. 1630. British Museum, Sloane 3584, folio 20ait can be seen that they all wear a red fez, but their coats are variously red, blue, brown, etc. Mirror sites 'Tufekci' infantryOttoman Tüfekçi musketeers of Ken'an Paşa in a Pāshānameh, c. 1630.
