They look like Splintered Light - which in any case makes very good fantasy 15mm stuff.

Caught on the surface, a small band of Dwarves prepare to strike a hard bargain. But there are too many. Nothing more to be done but to recite the names of their ancestors and smite!

Still puttering about with bits and pieces to no great effect but, I suppose, a trickle is better than nothing. The Dwarves are Battle Valor that still need basing to go with a Hott Dwarf army that also needs basing. Very impressed with the Battle Valor Dwarves, that fellow with the horned helmet even has a tankard strapped to his belt with a runic B embossed on it. That little novelty may be enough to turn out a small unit of Bugman's best soonish. Goblin Wolfriders and Wolf packs. Goblin general and fellows. A mixture of Blood Dawn, Ral Partha and the odd Copplestone wolf. At some stage I'm going to have to add another general to even things up. Wolf packs, all very nicely sculpted Copplestone Castings. Close up of the riders.

At last the final coat of lacquer is dry, these Lads are now ready to venture forth into the deep places of the world and reclaim lost glories. My thoughts around how I based them was that they are underground attempting to liberate the fallen Hold of their ancestors from Goblinoids and other foul creatures born of darkness and blood. So the base is a grey gravel like surface, sprinkled with lighter grey pavers and bone debris to break the darker grey up a bit. I hope it is suggestive of a long ruined Dwarf Hold. Basically this is a blade army with enough extras to add more variety. First up, what I think of as Guild Dwarves/ blade. Next contingent, Imperial Dwarves/ blade. General and Dwarf Hammerers/ blade. All the blade is out of the way, now we get to the variety. Dwarf Arbalisters/ shooters. Dwarf Tunnel fighters/ warband. These are some of the very nice Battle Valor Dwarves.

Adding more options with a Runesmith/ Cleric. Though since his base size is identical, he could also be used as a hero. By the way he is one of the new Battle Valor Dwarves with a slight alteration. Dwarf Lord/ hero, also Battle Valor. Finally, a few slightly closer pics. The way is shut!

Mark, Those are some great looking figures. I really enjoyed seeing them!
I am currently painting a Weird WWII army to oppose my US Hollywood Army. This one is Red Skull and the theme is based on the occult and sciences - taking ideas from several books, from several movies (such as the Outpost trilogy, The Devil's Rock, War of the Dead) and even one element from a Weird War comic cover.
I only have four elements left to do and then eh Stronghold. I should also mention that some of my elements are rip-offs from Alan Saunder's great Weird WWII armies, which is where I got the bug from.
Pictures soon,
Terry

I'm creating Unsullied by using Vitorix Carthagian heads on Fireforge Crusader foot bodies with round anglo-saxon shields.

I am currently taking a break from my 1800-04 French, and am finishing up a Red Skull army in my Weird WWII series to combat my Hollywood US army.

I am always planning and painting HOTT armies. Just finished Savannah Knights and have a pile of Copplestone Cimmerians and RalPartha fantasy celts ongoing.

Some additions to the Dwarves. I sold these to a foreign gent who requested some extras for a bit more flexibility. Continuing the theme from the original army, the figures are based to suggest they are underground liberating an ancient fallen Dwarf Hold. Dwarven Adventurers, Sneaker 3 AP. Figures Battle Valor. Dwarf Ambushers, Lurker 1 AP. Again Battle Valor. Dwarf tech, Artillery 3 AP. Old Grenadier, now available at Mirliton. A small Gateway for a Stronghold to follow.
