Howdy folks, Possibly an embarrassing newbie question but I’ve searched around the forums and hadn’t noticed anything along these lines, so... Where do y’all get your bases for DBA from? I’ve been ordering from Litko Inc, who I’ve been a fan of for quite some time but am wondering if there are any other places to look online (and that may be a little cheaper? Eh?). I’ll link Litko’s website below. www.litko.net/Thanks y’all!

In the UK I go for the excellent service and reasonable prices from East Riding Miniatures - but I guess you are on the othe rside of the Atlantic? Simon

Ah, unfortunately, I am! East coast USA. I’ll still check them out, though, thank you for the recommendation!

I get mine here:
He also is based in the same city as me (Ottawa, Canada), so I can either get them in the post at a decent rate or just go pick them up.
This is what he is charging me
Masonite Base 40x20mm $0.10 Masonite Base 40x30mm $0.15 Masonite Base 40x40mm $0.20
All prices are in Canadian dollars, and as you can see very inexpensive.
He does not have the bases listed on his site, but if you ask him, he will make them.
Maybe with the inexpensive prices it might be worth seeing how much it would cost to ship to the U.S.

Mine are 2mm MDF from Warbases (https://warbases.co.uk/). I like them a lot, haven't had a single problem with them, very good price and excellent service. Much recommended.
I'll also vouch for the excellent service from East Riding Miniatures, although I haven't bought their bases.

If you got the cash i would use metal bases. I have used plastic and wood for all mine and regret not using metal so going back to apply magnetic strip now.
Loads of peeps do wooden bases not sure re states suppliers but ebay will be your friend.
Good luck

Word is... “ I buy all mine from Litko by the 100-count bag. I'm pretty sure GF-9 do mdf too. “
Hope that helps

I'm not seeing bases on gf-9. I think they might have stopped?
I actually cut my own using 2mm plasticard from Michael's/model train stores. Not as precise a lasercut mdf though.

I have been using metal bases from Wargame Accessories - wargameaccessories.com/Not entirely satisfied with the quality control, some bases run up to a millimeter and a half off (+/-) in depth. Although the owner stated that I was only the second customer to ever complain... Had found another supplier of steel bases, but hadn't tried him and didn't bookmark the site... I also cut my own bases for the shorter '15s' from salvaged 1/8 in veneer plywood or MDF.

For those of us Downunder I would highly recommend Back-2-Basix from South Australia.
