Just got back a little while ago.
First off, I got to meet menacussecundus which was a treat. He is the person who mentioned to me last year about this event.
Stopped by the Society of Ancients booth, where I noticed they had a Slingshot issue primarily dedicated to DBA 3.0, and after chatting with the two gentlemen there I ended up purchasing a membership and that issue. I am now a member of the Society of Ancients. Cool!
I also picked up my pre-order from Magister Militum which will allow me to complete four armies and also grabbed some figures from Essex miniatures so I can now have all options for the Zagros Highlanders.
One thing I really wanted to look for were pieces that I could use for generic camps, and managed to get a few, which is a bonus.
All in all, a great day!

Nice haul! Let me know what you think of the SOA, I have thought about joining too. SOA certainly worth joining! It was playing a DBA game of Bosworth (in 54mm scale!!) set up by Phil Steele at the SOA stand at a show that got me into DBA a few years back. Simon

Nice haul! Let me know what you think of the SOA, I have thought about joining too. It is still early days for me, but I can say that the magazine is of high quality.
I have only read one article so far (the one by Joe Collins), and it is well written and thought out.
The introductory email I received mentions that I now have access to their forums and I also get a discount for their products, so that is all good news.
And let's be honest, they have one of the coolest names around for a group, that should be reason enough to join
