I was just reading through, it might be hard to run solo. That said the Book can be used like I said to create your own campaigns. There is an Empire game at the beginning which is about the Angevin empire, it could easily be converted.

There are some free downloads , one has a simple idea for a campaign. Look in the SOA have a look before buying anything perhaps?

Oh, I hope you like it! The Assyrian campaign would be ok for a convention, I think. If not you can blame me!π

Really nice report. I like the time, and Urartu is an interesting enemy for the assrians.

Really nice report. I like the time, and Urartu is an interesting enemy for the assrians. Thanks, and I totally agree about the Urartians..
When I was reading up on them before and during painting them up, it made me feel hopeful that more information about them will come to light.
At least from my opinion, if you really want an interesting enemy of the Assyrians, are the I/37b Taurus and Zagros Highland army. They also have the Assyrians listed as an ally, which I think can have some really interesting wrinkles to some battles.
They also have lots of mutual enemies with the Assyrians, six in total!
I made this up a while back, so I could see all the mutual enemies of the Assyrians and decide on interest of what army to paint next and also which armies would give me the most "bang for my buck" in terms how many historical opponents they would have and getting more choice of enemies. Some like the 50 Lydians, only have three mutual enemies, so will probably not paint them for a while, unless my interest pulls me that way.

Yes, you could do that or order the simple campaigning book, it's about 7 Pounds. Cheers, Paul. Well, in London now at my partner's flat and got to take a quick look at the whole book and read the first chapter.
This is a great and small (perfect for carry on) book!
Thanks again for mentioning it Paul!
