Click the link for the report.
I am still learning about all this blog stuff, including how to take better pictures.
Hopefully at some point I can approach the quality from other members such as timurilank, TWR, vtsaogames, and others.
If you notice something odd or incorrect, please let me know.

Nice report - what did you make of the house rules used? P Thanks!
I am a huge fan for the +1CF to 4Ax house rule, haven't had the +1CF to 4Bw come up yet so no idea about that.
Neither instance came up in this battle, but in previous battles the above house rule allowed the 4Ax to hang around in the game a bit longer.
I also like the 3Ax and Ps getting to recoil a base depth, especially if they are lined up near some mounted.
Having Bw no longer needing to shoot at any element in their threat zone helped out in this battle and in previous battles, and for 3Bw heavy armies like I/42 Neo-Elamite and I/44a Neo-Babylonian, a but more staying power.
I find none of the rules above, even using all of them in a game, to give an unfair advantage to a side.
So far so good.

I too am a fan of the +1 for 4Ax, and for solid Bw, vs Sp, Pk and Bd, which makes them more as I would expect against other foot and differentiates between them and their fast counterparts.

Nangwaya, it's slightly off topic but I thought you might be interested. Check out Slingshot 268,there is a campaign with Biblical armies called "Wolf on the fold". It represents the rise and fall of the Assyrian Empire,890 -610 BC. I saw this in the SOA Simple Campaigning book.
Best Wishes, Paul.

I am assuming this is a back issue, so I can order the DVD?

Wait, it's two articles together from Jan 2010 and May 2010. It says number only 268 in the Book. The simple campzigmo.g book is worth having because you can use the campaign mechanisms for any period.Just create your own maps.

I will order it and then have it shipped to my partner's flat, as I am off to see them in two weeks.

Are you playing solo as that one's a multiplayer? I mostly play solo, but have always wanted to run a game at Cangames, so this might be the ticket.
