Jay played his first three games of DBA last night. Thanks to Baldie, we got a rules question here answered between the first and second games! Jay was amazed. So was I. Game 1 saw my Gallic ruffians beaten 3 (G) to 2. We switched sides and my brave Romans dispatched the barbarians 4 to 2. Jay wanted the hairy ones again and went down 4 to 2 again. For more details and lots of pictures, go here Corlears Hook Fencibles

And so it begins. Two more victims sucked into the vortex!

Really like how you annotated the pics.
I hope you don't mind, but I think I will emulate you whenever I get around to posting another battle report.

Romans vs Gauls.......that is where I started but you’re on the slippery slope to the hard stuff! You’ll soon be using Elephants, LH and Artillery.

I've got all that stuff, just haven't used it in a while. I also think monochromatic armies are best for introducing new players to the game. There are one or two more in the group.

Yes - best to start newbies on the soft stuff rather than going straight into the Class A stuff!

I used MS Paint and that's about as fancy as I can get. I also use Adobe Photoshop Elements to clean up the picture to start, again with a beginner's take on the package. That and a cheap tripod on an old point and shoot camera. The camera on my phone is better but no place to fix the tripod.

You've got to love old school 1/72 plastics.

Good to know you got good results using Paint, because that is precisely the program I am going to use.
