I came across this site peterspaperboys.com/ and thought others may find it of interest. Especially for building camps and BUA's. I am toying with the idea of getting a sheet of Carthaginians to see how they turn out.

Thanks!
I am going to give the tents a try.
Probably will be getting someone else to do the folding, as I am absolutely terrible at doing papercraft assembly.

I picked up the "desert tents" and "desert buidlings"
Here is the simplest one assembled at 100% scale next to some Assyrian psiloi.
Thanks again Cromwell!

I ordered the Viking tents and the desert houses they look quite good. The former even better because they were free :-) so I also ordered the 1066 book. My club is doing a dark ages theme for a couple of months so I thought this might give me some ideas.

If I like the way they turn out I may look at their Republican Roman Army.

Looking at both the "Paperboys" armies and accessories, along with the books drawn by Peter Denis I believe they have a great deal of potential for not just us DBA gamers but also the wide gaming community.
They will never replace carefully painted figures, however for someone wishing to try a new era two armies can be easily and cheaply made. Also I can see that for a club project or campaign they could be very useful. The forces could probably be made in an evenings activity.
The other advantage I see is storage. They are light and pack down. As to durability, if any units or terrain pieces become Hors de combat replacements can be printed out.
I am certainly going to investigate further.

I got my book, from Amazon, in a day. The bases are a bit flimsy and I can imagine the cut out figures will start to lean over after some usage. I can envision cutting out the figures without the bases, and attaching them to Dba Scale bases with slots cut in them. Slide the figures into the slots for a game and slide them out for storage. The figures, at 25 mm roughly, but could be scanned and reduced to 15 mm for a 2 x 2’ board.
This was a very good find, thanks much.
As I’m writing this, the post man just delivered cut out European buildings by Denis. These look quite nice. I have a resin church and windmill So there is a bit of waste. However, The town buildings and a few others will be quite useful. Much cheaper than buying them in resin or rubber.

I intend to print mine on thin card or stiff paper to alleviate to leaning problem.

Back in the day, a friend of mine only played board games. I made a Roman army and a Carthaginian army from card cut into elements labeled Blade, Spear, etc. I then made up some cardboard terrain pieces and taught him how to play DBA (1st edition). He now owns multiple 15mm armies. I have created similar card armies to test rules for new periods. It beats painting up figures and discovering that the rules don't float your boat.
Of course, card elements aren't nearly as nice as paper soldiers. I do have some stuff from Paper Terrain. Best part is each house has a ruined version that fits inside. After a house has been fought over, remove the pristine one.

Thanks again Cromwell for providing a link to paperboys.
I wanted to get a village-type feel for my Hebrew camp, and now I have one.

Good looking camp. I am just in the process of building up 3 paper armies. Norman, Saxon and Viking.
Saxon army complete, now working on the Normans. Once completed I will post pictures on my web site.
Nothing will replace 3d miniatures but to make quick playable armies for a campaign or to try out an army they are very effective.
I will also make the village houses, Great Hall, Church and Burgh. Be great terrain pieces or camps. Just for fun I am going to make up the Viking Longboat!

I played against someone who used a Viking longboat as their camp... It was a nice touch!
