Hi,
Been out of the loop a while. I like the look of this adaptation a lot - it fits with how I'd like to model the forces on the table using Baccus's new revamped 6mm range.
I have one query if I may - I'm intrigued as to your thought processes in making the forces 10 elements strong? Would higher numbers per side unbalance the game in any way do you think? [edited: obviously one may need some considerations around pips & command etc]
Thanks,
Mark

In fact I have been fighting engagements with more than 10 elements you just have to adjust PIP and command elements to suit.

Hi again,
Have a run a couple of test games now with this adaptation and am enjoying the results and the feel of the game.
Another couple of queries/thoughts if I may.
Firstly, I'm trying to get my head around the combat values for commanded shot (cv=3) vs an infantry brigade (cv=4) in the case of distance shooting. I appreciate musket fire was not that effective in this period but if the bases represent the same number of men (I assume they do) wouldn't the commanded shot be at an advantage - or at the very least equal - when shooting at a distant target? Would a simple plus (+1?) modifier cover it and/or an extra hit marker where the shot beat the inf?
Secondly, it's rare I know but we have Lansdown as one example off the top of my head - I'm wondering how to reflect an all-pike brigade in relation to the values and combat outcomes used specifically in this excellent adaptation. Really unsure here.
Excuse the foray into detail. I'm particularly looking to game the actions in the south west so these two issues have cropped up. I'm a little rusty with DBA so anyone's thoughts/suggestions would be gratefully received.
Regards,
Mark

I see what you mean about the combat values for commanded shot, I had'nt thought of it that way. I think the plus 1 idea would balance it a bit. Your question on Pike brigades has me stumped! I am going to give this some thought. Watch this space!
