The thing that is blowing me away, is that some of the kits that I purchased from scene-a-rama, are cheaper than if I had purchased the same items separately from the hobby store!
I have also been poking around their site and watching quite a few of the videos. I get a chuckle now and then watching the videos, as they are so tailored towards children, but to be honest, having these things explained to me in this way is exactly what I need.
The bonus for me, is that all their how-to pdfs are all free!
I am not great at taking pictures, and even though I like terrain that is not steep enough to make figures fall over, the hill looks awfully flat in the pic., but believe me, it does have some height to it
I popped the Urartian HCh General alongside the hill, to give perspective.
I found the hill to be too light, in that figures touching the hill tended to make it move around, so I added some pennies inside the hill, and voila!
All in all, and pennies included, I would be stunned if I spent more than $1.00 in materials.
Man, this hill looks so much better than my hill made from felt.
Certainly going to be making more terrain using similar methods to how I made the hill!
