Another step towards bringing my Christian Nubian up to code with 1x4Bd and 1x4Bw getting completed today. I had hoped to accomplish more (the Christian Nubian Kn general; Ming Cb, Ps and Bw; Lambert Simmnel's Ps, Pk and Lb are all close to done) but there is a limit to the amount of time I can push a long lunch.
I did also finish an element of Ps for the Zanj Revolt.
Cheers

My package from the Museum Miniatures discount sale arrived and I have begun painting the missing figures to bring my Han army up to DBA 3 standards. Also need three more bases of slinger (Ps) for the celts, which I will prime now.
In the meantime, I have been painting some 28mm dwarfs of the Mantic line for their Kings of War game. (Quite silly, but not bad).

Han are finished (well, basing is not yet finished as my supply of the "right" kind of sand has run out). Might start on the New Kingdom Egyptians....

Over the weekend I finished off the Christian Nuban Kn General, one each of the Ming 4Cb, 3Bw and Ps and an element of 4Lb for Lambert Simnel's Yorkist Pretender army.
The Ming and Koreans got a run on Sunday in the lead up to Cancon.
Hopefully this week will see Simnel's army and the Ming fully complete and maybe the Christian Nubian brought up to code.
Cheers

9 elements of Indian PS painted and glued to bases to complete that option for the Mountain Indians - not sure I'll go the PS vs AX route more than once, but will ay least be able to try it.
Added a heavy cavalryman to an extra Indian LH element to give another CV to allow fielding the no-chariot b option for the Classical Indians.
Have two clibanarii pulled from the ammonia bath (lead rot) and painted that are getting wrapped up to add to a previously painted figure to expand that option for the Sassanids.
Ready to focus on finishing some Norman CB, BW, BD, SP, 5 and 7HD, and KN to flesh out my Norman, Anglo-Norman, and Early Crusaders so that I don't have to borrow between them for at least the basic options.
Although it might be finishing the 4AX for the Republican Indians next...

Two armies completed today when the last two elements of the Yorkist Pretenter (1xPk, 1xPs) and Ming Chinese (1x3Bw, 1xPs) rolled off the line.
I have now started on a later Sassanid (c list) and am most of the way through the Zanj Revolt.
I am also bringing Arab Conquest and Christian Nubians up to code - which only leaves the Khazars from this campaign set to upgrade.
This week I will have to ponder what is coming next in the priorities.

Putting together my 15mm Gallic II/11, with Cv (no Chariots) and 4Wb all over the place (with a "lead" figure in Noble attire, ie a mail shirt and helm).
They will do battle with my II/49 Marian Romans, just as soon as Crassus is done dispensing Rome's divine justice to Spartacus and his gang of criminals...

At long last the Samurai Cv that have been a log jam in the "Mounted Odds and Sods" category of the strips I am painting have rolled off the line - I embarked on an ambitious project last year to get all of my Yuan Era campaign armies up to Purple code and at the end of the year all of them but the Early Samurai were done. I still have to complete a number of Cv elements for this army but all of the rest (the 6Cv, the 4Bw along with the unchanged part - 3Bd and 3Ax) are done. The Samurai are now on hold for a while as I race to bring my Rise of Islam armies up to code. At this point I just have to fix up the Christian Nubian, Arab Conquest and Khazars - with the Nubians mostly done.
Today also saw the completion of the LCm for the Arab Conquest and Christian Nubian
Cheers

Nice looking Saxons pipeline and chariot peppepeo.
Went ahead and wrapped up painting and attaching to bases the 6x4AX for the Republican BBDBA.
Then back to the Norman/Anglo-Norman/Early Crusaders/Ottonians. 6x3BW, 4xSP, 5x4BD, 2x5HD (need to repair a spearman for the the third), and a 4BD command element painted and glued to bases. Need to fab some bases for the rest of the BW, PS, and CB. Meanwhile will push the 5 KN (e Essex and 3 OG) command elements and additional KN element - saddles, bridles, and shields.
Also have orcs primed to fill out a HOTT 72 point army.

Not much painting happened once the competition was on - hopefully I can return to the brushes today

And today I finished off 1xPs for the Sassanids and 1xPs (rock throwing ex-slaves) for the Zanj Revolt.
The Zanj need only their three commander options (Cv/4Bd/3Bd) the Stone Thrower, one element of Swordsmen (4Bd) and the Elite Swordsmen (3Bd)
Currently the Command options are underway
