On Saturday at the monthly Crafternoon at my local geek bar (The Copper Dragon in Tuggeranong) I put the final touches on 1xSp and 1x3Ax for my Sicilian/North African Muslim. All of the figures for this army are stuck down on strips now - ready for the brush. Cheers You have a "geek bar"?A place where you can drink beer, chat with fellow geeks about wargaming AND paint miniatures? You lucky person youπ Either that or it's a typo and you mean Greek bar? Cheers, Paul. No Typo Paul
The Copper Dragon Tavern is a bar for the Roleplayers/Wargamers/Cosplayers/Boardgamers and other rich assortments from the tapestry of Geekdom.
<side note - can you believe that the spellchecker in this platform highlighted two of the above but left Geekdom as correct>
So yes - lucky I am - they are serving Mulled Wine over winter too
Cheers

Last night I completed an element of 4Lb for my Anglo Irish - once the Sp and Mtd-4Lb are done this army will have been brought up to code.

Just got all the figs. ready on the baking tray for the Zagros Highlanders:
I like having all the figs. out at once and seeing the amount left to paint get whittled down over time.
Mind you, since I paint so slow, I do have to remember to dust off the figs. before I prime and paint

I really like the Dark Are period and I have finally started on painting my Dark Age figures which have been lurking in the lead pile - Saxon's Vikings etc that I have collected over the years. I have various DBA army packs as well still to attack. As the saying goes 'mistakes may have happened...' especially over 20 years of buying these and not painting them. I may have a few more than I need for DBA but I'm sure I'll find a use. Below are a few sets I have painted so far. Blades: Elite blades - aka ones with the same shields so likely commanders etc. Spears: A lot more are coming and will be on mellis1644.wordpress.com/ soon. if you want to see more photo's check out the link. I think I should have loads for Dark Age DBA armies soon.
