DBA 3.0 Games at Historicon 2019 – Lancaster, PA - July 10-13.
Below is the list for the DBA 3.0 games that will be run at Historicon 2019.

We welcome play on 24”x24” AND 30”x30” boards – the attacking player in the matchup gets to choose what size to use.

Hi, Tony,
Can we get a list of armies eligible for Wimp Wars, as well as armies to be used for the Crusades game? Will Don provide the armies for the Crusades?
Thanks.

Hello everyone,
Is there any update on when we'll see the options for "The Greatest General" and will we need to make our choice in advance to avoid multiple incarnations of the same general from showing up?

BRILLIANT GENERALS
These are the very rare charismatic commanders whose talents cannot easily be simulated by players without special rules.
Innovative strategists, quick to spot and exploit fleeting opportunities, but risk-takers who lead from the front, they are far
from being a safe pair of hands or perfect generals and may be described (like Talbot) as “hardy rather than prudent” or
(like Caesar) as “escaping by his celerity from fixes got into by his rashness”. Often difficult subordinates and exasperating
commanders to other generals, but adored by troops. Only the following historical generals are Brilliant:

Tony, I don't understand how John the Only of England can be considered as a "Brilliant General".

Tony, I don't understand how John the Only of England can be considered as a "Brilliant General". Cheers, The John o philes love to highlight his lightning dash across France to save Eleanor from Prince Arthur of Brittany
He broke off from whatever he was doing, rushed to the castle under siege by the Bretons and captured Arthur between the Outer Bailey and the Keep
We all know what happened then
Any list that says my beloved Southern Sung can play has my stamp of approval
(Pity Historicon is on the other side of the world)
One day perhaps - but not this year
Cheers

Tony, I don't understand how John the Only of England can be considered as a "Brilliant General". Cheers, I don't either. This is a list I found for those Brilliant Generals supposedly from DBMM compiled by the Barker himself. I used this instead of making my own list which I would then have to justify with research that I do not have time/inclination to do. There are several names missing IMO and several that I would have ommitted.

Tony,
Some really inventive themes there that’ll lead to some really fun battles. Wish I could cross the pond and join in.
One observation, with your beautiful Burgundians in mind, I assume that Mtd-4Lb count as elements with 5 or more figures on them for the “Strength in Numbers" Tournament. It is just that they weren’t listed in the options.
One thought, Wimp Wars Is such a good theme that will lead to close fought battles. Is there anyway you could run it as a Wimp Wars Handicap, where Armies with more LH and Ps start with more points. +1 Tournament points for each LH &Ps in your starting line up may lead to 10 or 12 LH or Ps armies being fielded rather than the minimum 6. ....just a thought from a Skythian at heart who would love to field 10 x LH or more.

Paddy Haven't thought that far ahead with the Burgundians. That is actually not the reason I am building them - it is to fight my French Ordonnance and Medieval Germans. I can also see at some later point doing a League of Constance army as well.

Next time we are able to get together for a game we should field that combination of opponents 😉! Cheers,
