I have never liked going with less than 50mm deep for cav. in this scale. I'm not sure if this would be a big issue or not. I'm about to base my 28mm Norman cav. Thanks. Clay

I use double size 15mm scale bases - ie 80 x 60 for the nags, 80 x 490 for most infantry etc

yeah like Simon, everything is doubled, bases and move too, so the terrain is 120*120cm.

Clay In general most "standard" base sizes are too small ford todays scale creep. I have added depth to most of my bases in both 15/18mm and 28mm to accommodate this. I try to keep width the same as the regulations as this is what matters during play. Occasionally a base depth issue comes up, but for me to get these stands of painstakingly painted troops to look good is paramount over base depth arguments.

And where would you buy 80mm width bases for dba ? If in the UK Warbases are one - and there will be others no doubt. Simon
