PS....was the Central Asian Turkish III/11b a late addition to the theme?

I was interested how many of the potential participants, have had to recruit new armies for the event. The geography is definitely not one that I know well, and it has been interesting developing some knowledge to assist selection, and the subsequent commission for the painting...tricky to bring one’s painting gear to Guyana.

I hope we do get some newly painted armies and ones that people might not ordinarily choose. Everyone has Romans and Greeks and the like. I like to encourage a bit of diversity.

Sadly, I am not able to make the Autumn bash. Good luck to everyone who takes part.

I’ll get in touch with some army options, Oli. Won’t be accurate figures, but can make some of the theme armies from surrogates (with a stretch of the imagination).

M That would be awesome, cheers Martin, I have a lot of options i could use but nothing remotely resembling the armies aesthetic wise. Well, loads of cavalry

No probs....PM just sent, Oli. (Ian Pain may also be borrowing - TBA). Only issue I have is that I may have to run before the final, as I’m due at work straight after the tournament....so can we three promise not to be successful in the early stages 😊 !! Martin

May there be some of the required armies around that could be lent for the event? I think many of us are struggling with this one, Peter:- 7th century Korea and its environs is not one I had much in the way of figures for, nor did I have lots of time to paint one up specially. Happen to have some ‘generic’ Chinese to make my own army, but any accurate figures for others on the list are beyond me. However, PAWS never turn up their noses at ‘inaccurate/ahistorical’ armies, so providing we can tell what the figures are representing it’s never been an issue in the past. ‘Turn up and play’, seems to be the rule of thumb. Hope to see you there. Think you can make it? Martin

Yep - will be there post Belize. The army is being finished off currently. So in complete alignment with looks and Army List.
It transpires that the army of my choice fight against others I have (so probably gives the game away there then).
