Hi, I was just wondering if there were established rules for posting to the wiki? Is it considered curated or can anybody in the community contribute?
Thanks! Chris

LOL... One must be able to remember how to actually post. That is the only rule I know...
Go ahead and add to it!

I've posted on it during the 2.2+ controversy to make clear that DBA 3.0 then forthcoming was the official version. But now don't remember how I did it.

I've posted on it during the 2.2+ controversy to make clear that DBA 3.0 then forthcoming was the official version. But now don't remember how I did it. TomT I just came back to DBA a few weeks ago, excited to try 3.0, and happy to see the changes. Really sorry to hear that the sequel fight hurt people so badly. It looks like it could use some love. The original Fanaticus site was well organized, and a great inspiration to new players. I searched and saw a large number of pages that had been added to the wiki, but there didn't seem to be a way to organize them. First blush might be to categorize them like the forum is organized, but I'd like to make sure that no page is just sitting out there without being liked to easily, starting on the front page, and having some good categories. Would people object to me modifying the front page of the wiki to link to these pages? It might make it an easier step to post. Also, I'll make sure to separate out stuff from pre 3.0 to post 3.0, so there's no confusion. Chris

Ok, so I've started by adding a table with links to Catagories, and organizing the pages into these categories. This might prove folly, as really what I should do is create pages that link to the pages directly. The whole category thing just seems to be tagging that gets you lost Anyway, let me know if this looks decent, and I'll burrow into each table item ("Army Notes" for example), and make them nice pages that link to all the Army Notes Pages. If this is all too complicated, I can always remove the table... fanaticus-dba.wikia.com/wiki/Fanaticus_DBA_WikiaChris

Greedo:
I hereby appoint you Marshal of the Wiki for DBA.
Its great when players take the initiative on stuff like this. I'll try and go out to see how its coming together.
Are you US based?

TomT Glad you approve! I'll see what I can do. Can you make me an admin to the wiki? If I start making changes, I'll need to ensure we have history, so that if/when I screw up, I'll be able to undo it I'll also make sure the unlinked pages have categories associated with them, but I still think regular pages with links is the way to go. Never been a Marshal before. Pretty pumped. Might have a forum entry that people can send in suggestions if they need wiki modification (as opposed to just posting pages). Yup I'm in the US, North Bay Area, CA. Chris

Just a fast update:
1) I've been experimenting with where to put the Navigation Links, and wiki activity. Putting the Nav Bar on the side instead of as a table seems to look nice.. 2) I've decided that I hate Categories. They are confusing AF, so they are useful as tags, but I'm going to gradually replace the category pages with regular pages and links. It'll make it easier to add stuff for everyone I think. 3) It looks like there tons of stuff on the forum that could be placed into the wiki. It might already be there, but just need more convenient links. Will continue to work on this.
Please let me know if you have any suggestions! Although I'm changing the organization of the wiki a bit, everyone should feel like they can contribute, so I don't want to make anyone feel like I'm "taking over" the wiki. My goal is to organize it a bit better so things will be easier to find/post, especially for beginners.
