Get an Optivisor (Amazon has several types) or similar. I wear specs and use one of the cheaper species of visor, don't have to remove specs. Use it for all painting, 10mm and up.

Im using a magnifying glass combined with a lamp which works well for me.I probably paint too much detail which nobody will ever see but I know its there.😃

I used an optivisor when painting my 6mm ACW armies. You do get used to it if you stick with it. Trying it for 10 minutes and throwing it off in the corner will never work.

Dentists Magnifiers are great. They make ones that you can clip on your regular glasses, that you can flip up or down depending, or stand alone ones which just have a head band.

I was cursed with shortsightedness since my teens and have always worn glasses. This means I now paint close up figures with my naked eye alone, no magnification. Curse = blessing!
