Another excellent resource. Thanks for that. A must see for all wargamers. (Funny story: when I first saw this post I originally thought “hello, Timurilank is going a Tony Aguilar and posting his battles to YouTube.” After watching it for a few minutes I was impressed with his voice…”blimey” I thought, “he’s got a posh voice, and no hint of a Dutch accent!” It took me a few minutes before I realized that Timurilank didn’t actually create it…he is only posting the link. )Anyway, well worth watching. Some potentially useful player aids can be found here, such as the “Quick Reference Sheets” from the Society of Ancients, and the new “Army List Corrections” file: fanaticus-dba.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Reference_sheets_and_epitomes And this is the latest January 2018 FAQ: fanaticus-dba.wikia.com/wiki/FAQ_2018

Stevie,
Thanks for the kind word. The video presentation is indeed worth the view especially if you are contemplating a campaign set in the medieval period. Campaigns set in Western Europe of the late 12th century should have elements of a chivalric code; the warrior ethos, knightly piety, honour and nobility. That said, medieval warfare for most noble houses primarily became a profit making business. In our game series, we made a distinction between a general becoming incapacitated and carried off the field or simply captured. As an example, I posted a battle report between Carthage and Rome (two commands each) whereby the Carthaginian CinC is carried off the battlefield midway through the first day’s engagement. On the following day, the general still recovering and less mobile functions as a CP (Command post).

One of my programed learning games for K&K is based on Poitiers. The formatting got destroyed in the cut and paste process but you can discern the general outline.
Battle of Poitiers This Battle is loosely based on the historical battle of Poitiers fought in 1356 between England and France. You can use historical armies for those two nations or, if you prefer, fantasy armies to represent the two sides. In the historical battle the English were led by the Black Prince, the French by John le Bon. In a fantasy setting the English army can be represented by a rebel Franconia Duke or High Elves with either Wood Elf or Human Allies. The French can be represented by the Franconian royal army or an Empire Army. The Armies: Army of John le Bon The John le Bon and household knights – 1 Knight General. Knights – 2 Knights. Town Foot – 4 HF w/Spears. Missilemen – 2 MF w/Crossbows.
Ally Independent Noble & knights – 2 Knights. Men at Arms – 1 Fast Knight.
Ally Independent Noble & knights – 2 Knights. Men at Arms – 1 Fast Knight.
Army of the Black Prince Black Prince and household knights – 1 Knighted Hero General. Men at Arms – 2 Fast Knights. Yeomen Archers – 5 MF w/Longbow. Archer Guard – 1 MF w/Longbow & Hackneys.
Ally Gascon Noblemen – 1 Fast Knight. Bidowers – 2 MF w/Spears. Missilemen – 1 MF w/Crossbow.
Both sides may Dismount any Mounted Stand. Heroes Dismount as Foot Heroes. Jon le Bon is always the Attacker in this scenario so he sets up second and moves second. Terrain Use a standard sized board. The Black Prince is the Defender and has the following Mandatory Terrain: one straight (no bends) hedge two feet (18” in the smaller scale) in length (Stands defending the hedge in Close Combat counts as “Uphill” so get +1 to CF), two Gentle Hills, one Bad Going Marsh, one Road which must at some point intersect the Hedge (creating a 1 Stand wide gap) and one Woods. The Defender may not select any other Terrain but may choose the board edge in deployment.
Victory Conditions Standard Victory conditions.
