And Stevie shows again, in fine form, why I am such a fan of using the 12 element game to reflect historical battles... Amen to that! And Stevie cooked a real winner here. Our group played his "Battle of the River Sabis" a total of nine times. Everybody got to play it at least once; most played it 2 or 3 times. And almost all the games had spectators...they were that entertaining. The way Stevie set it up, each side has tough choices to make. Most games hung in the balance until the very end. Took a few photos, which I'll strive to get posted tomorrow. Yeah, the visuals of the double-deep Nervii was well worth the effort to rebase them over the last couple days. Again, many thanks, Stevie. An instant classic.

But the big question we are all asking is: where are the photos?
Apologies for the long delay, but here are a couple photos from the Battle of the River Sabis scenario you so kindly (and swiftly!) created for us. Overview of the at-start deployments, with Belgic Tribes (my old 15mm Mikes Models Germans) at top. Eric Donaldson's Essex Romans below. Also Eric's terrain and terrific Gallic Camp. Close up of the Nervii on their "decorative double bases", as Stevie had suggested in his scenario. Lastly, another in-game shot of the Gauls as they crossed the River Sabis in one of the many times we played and replayed this enjoyable, historical scenario. Again, many thanks, Stevie.
