Recently fought a War of the Spanish Succession battle using the DBA-HX3.0 Robert Madrigal rules. An excellent battle ensued with Britain claiming victory.
Excellent rules and great army lists!

Thank you for the kind word. I do have plans for the gunpowder era this year. The Peninsular War, the early years is high on my list, but I am still debating where to start – Portugal or Spain.

I look forward to that! Not being an expert on the Peninsular War I can't really help with where to start!

I look forward to that! Not being an expert on the Peninsular War I can't really help with where to start! I suspect I may sidestep the usual trodden path and focus on the campaigns conducted by the Spanish and guerilla activity throughout the peninsula. This opens some interesting campaign scenarios and battles between less trained armies fighting the French war machine.
The first step would be to collect and paint the Spanish as the French were refurbished early last year. 18thcenturysojourn.blogspot.nl/2017/03/allez-france.html
