My brushes are pretty worn out. Interested to know where other UK painters get their brushes from? Simon

I tend to bulk buy from Coritani/Magnetic Displays when I come across them at a show. (They are going to be at Hammerhead if you can wait that long, Simon.)

Although I'm in Australia, I use Winsor and Newton brushes. They should be available all over the UK from any good art supplies shop. The range that I use is the Cotman III series. Cannot recommend them too highly.
Cheers,

Simon, next time you're in Sheffield go to Wargames Emporium in Orchard Square, as you go in, on the top shelf on your left hand side they have a pot of green handled paint brushes made from Goat hair made in China that cost 50p each. I know they sound rubbish but these are the best value for money brushes I've ever used. They don't lose their points and splay out, like some other more expensive brushes I've used have and at 50p each they're an absolute bargain.
I've had some for ages and although the outside hairs may occasionally come out or break off it still leaves a fine point in the middle. I've also put mine through a couple of soakings of paint remover to freshen them up and they come out just like new.
They've been out of stock for ages, but was in there on Wednesday and they've got them again.
Cheers
Mark

I use various acrylic fibre brushes of the "da Vinci" brand. Reliable, relatively inexpensive, huge variety to choose from. And readily available from artist supply stores. As far as I see, they should be available in the UK too. They also make good hair brushes, but I prefer acrylic brushes for ethical reasons.

For many years i used hairs from my head, not so much these days.
I use GW and all sorts of brushes, packs of brushes from the range included as they have loads of reasonable priced ones. Some great for figs and other for tanks and terrain etc.
Going out cos i need a brush is always a good excuse to pop up to Colins

I also acrylic fibre brushes of the "da Vinci" brand from the local art shop here in the UK. They do a mean 4/0 brush and I buy about 1 a month.
