I've just posted our first battle report on YouTube. It's a Successor battle between Ptolemaic and Seleucid armies. Just search for Greg Kelleher.
Cheers,

Well done gents!
Couple of suggestions. It would be great to get a second camera to on occasion zoom in on the action and figures. This of course takes extra editing... as well as a third person... but it would be wonderful to see some close ups.
I also would encourage a post production addition of more text and graphics showing some combat totals and such... again... more work... but great fun.
Finally... a couple of rule reminders... Foot don't follow up mounted. Psiloi don't count corner to corner overlap as a minus... Knights don't pursue into bad going.
An excellent job overall.

Thanks for the video.
Hordes pursue. Hordes are foot. Plow must extend into one adjacent quarter. Knights can not move twice. No element can use a subsequent move to charge the enemy unless on a road. No element can make a subsequent move if in the enemy zoc unless on a road. Pike do not pursue mounted. When allowed, they do pursue 1/2 base width.
Consider putting DBA 3.0 in the title. "DBA1" may be confusing.
How come nobody shows terrain deployment? It is so relevant yet nobody covers it in their videos.

Thanks guys for the feedback. We realised that we made a few errors and hope to eliminate them in subsequent videos. With regards to the extra camera, we thought that we might commission Peter Jackson to produce and direct our next effort . Cheers,

With regards to the extra camera, we thought that we might commission Peter Jackson to produce and direct our next effort . Not sure you can afford Peter Jackson, however may find a kwaussie spare lurking around your parts. Great video, I look forward to more.

Good video - well done! Very helpful and good to see some Successor armies on the table.
Not sure you need Peter Jackson - it got the point across. Also don't worry about a few errors - actually seeing them and picking up on them in this tread has added to my learning of the rules. For example I didn't spot that Knights don't pursue into bad going until I read it here. However, I did spot a missed 8BW Command radius, although a PIP was burned that phase so it wouldn't have mattered.

How come nobody shows terrain deployment? It is so relevant yet nobody covers it in their videos. We did in the first couple of videos we made with Musashi, but then people complained about it being included. You can't make everyone happy.

Good report i really liked it. More varied drinks selection next time perhaps.
Oh and i was discusted to see you you did not announce each game turn with a numbered card and a trumpet fanfare
Keep em coming, you are all shaming me into doing a full video report

Thanks guys for the second tranche of comments. I'm not sure when the next video will be recorded. As Mark and I live about 600km apart we only get together when I travel either to Sydney or Canberra for a tournament. As CANCON is on next month perhaps there'll be a chance then.
Cheers,

Greg and Mark, Nice job. I have always been interested in a Ptolemic army, maybe one day ... How much was the Lazy Yak sponsorship worth? Any chance of getting them into a bidding war with Fat Yak?
